Pigs in their natural state will exhibit three main characteristics: Herding and mobbing for predator protection, consistent movement looking for fresh forage and away from their droppings, and finally a diet consisting of primarily fresh forage – no dead pigs, no manure, no grain, no hormones, no antibiotics, no GMO, no herbicides, no pesticides, and food in its natural state.

Our goal is to get as close to this template as possible, God’s design, and still bring you consistent and great tasting pork! Our Mulefoot pigs are rotated from paddock to paddock on a consistent basis. This natural model heals the land, thickens the forage (getting us more consistent production for the pigs), reduces the weeds (eliminating the need for herbicides), stimulates earthworms (healing the land), reduces pathogens (eliminating the need for antibiotics in the pigs), and increases nutritional qualities and taste of the meat (healing our bodies)!

FREE RANGE/PASTURE RAISED EGGS

A portable chicken coup, a portable turkey coup, and a portable duck coup follow the pigs in their rotation. This allows these birds to do what they do in nature. They eat bugs, scratch through the dirt, and also scratch through the droppings. By following herds of larger animals birds act as a biological and pasture sanitizer. As these birds cleanse the pasture the pigs were just on, they are eliminating pathogens further, further increasing the production of the forage by spreading the manure, and preparing the land for the pigs to rotate back through as a later date. They are doing a great deal of work to heal the land for us, and in the meantime are giving us delicious eggs! You may wonder why we allow the turkeys and ducks to be part of this process, and the answer is easy. Many people have told us they are looking for chicken egg alternatives as they are sensitive to them or allergic to them in some way. We are always happy to help our customers find delicious and healthy options for them to eat!
